How to Play Book of Cats

If they land on a space with an opponent's figure, then they must battle by rolling two dice -the higher number wins and takes away one victory point from their opponent; if both numbers are equal then both players lose a point. The first player to reach ten VPs wins!
The key to winning Book of Cats is to collect sets of animals as quickly as possible. There are several ways to do this. One way is to place your figures on spaces with multiple animal icons so that you can automatically claim all of them whenever you roll the dice. Another way is to trade cards with other players in order to get sets together - something that becomes increasingly important as the game progresses and there are fewer cards remaining in Deck 1 (the deck containing basic animal types). Finally, you can build structures such as fences or farms which give you bonuses for certain types of animals - for example, fences give you two bonus points for each dog adjacent to them at the end of the game.
